How I Wash My Synthetic Wigs

We will need a comb to brush it out to get all the tangles and everything out. I usually start from the bottom and work my way up. A little disclaimer before I actually start: Do not use a paper towel holder, which is not good for holding up wigs.

This wig is a little bit complicated to comb because it’s been sitting in the closet for a little while. To wash your synthetic wig you need to start with warm water. You do not want really hot or really cool water because it will dry your wig out even more it’s already dry. I put a little shampoo. Before I wash the wig I just put a tab bit of shampoo and conditioner in the water. I’m pretty gentle with my wig. I wash my two wigs together because they are both dark colors. Never mix your light wigs with dark wigs because the color will come off.

Just play around with your waist. Don’t be too harsh. After washing my wigs I put them on a hook that’s inside of my closet. You want to hook your wigs somewhere because you want the water drip out or drop down and I put the towel on the floor. I leave these hair overnight or all day 24 hours.
