human hair wigs

Sleep in wigs, yah or nay?

In recent years wigs have become the choice of more and more people. Not only does it hide the fact of hair loss, but it has also been given a fashionable attribute. People can use different wigs to change their appearance for different occasions and events.

However, the reality is that when people live at home, they take their wigs down at night and take care of them. But when they go out and have to stay out overnight, the question of whether to take off the wig becomes a serious one. Because many people don’t want to show their hair loss, it can make them feel anxious.

Honestly, whether you wear a lace front wig or a full lace wig, whether human or chemical, wearing a wig while sleeping is not a good choice. We would still prefer that you remove your wig before you go to bed so that your hair can get a good rest and you can have a good night’s sleep at the same time. If you must wear a wig to bed, please follow these tips:

1.We recommend wearing a lace front wig as it is more suitable for overnight stays. It is comfortable and breathable to wear, and it is also stretchable.
So you can use it to cover the entire scalp area and with its lightweight material you can have a great sleeping experience.

2.An important way to care for your sleep wig is to brush all tangles out of your hair before you use it at night and when you wake up the next morning. This will eliminate tangles and frizz and will also extend the life of your wig.

3.We recommend that you wash your wig weekly with a hairdressing product suitable for synthetic or human hair wigs, depending on which type you prefer. You will need to brush your hair before washing to remove any loose hair. Remember to be gentle when washing and conditioning your wig to ensure you don’t accidentally tear your wig. Afterwards, carefully wash the inside of the wig cap to remove any excess hair product used in washing and conditioning. Otherwise your scalp may become itchy if chemicals are left in the shampoo and conditioner. Finally, place your hair on a wig stand to dry. Human hair wigs can be dried with a hairdryer, but synthetic wigs need to be dried with natural air.

4.Many people use cotton pillowcases, but if you wear a wig to bed, we recommend that you use a pillowcase made of satin or silk. This is because the satin or silk fabric enables your wig to slide easily. At the same time their light and delicate material will not cause irritation to the hair strands of your wig. They can come into contact with your hair without friction, whereas cotton pillowcases are rougher and can tangle your hair strands.

5. If you have a medium length or longer wig, one way to protect it from damage is to wear it in a low ponytail with a soft band, or you can braid it into a loose side braid before you go to bed. This will prevent your wig from getting tangled. But you should always remember to brush your hair thoroughly but gently when you wake up in the morning.

While we still do not recommend wearing a wig while sleeping, we understand that sometimes some people need to wear a wig throughout the night. We hope our tips will help to keep your wig looking good and healthy.
